Suicides are more common in spring

Suicides more commonly occur earlier in the day, at the beginning of the week and during springtime, new research has found. They found that visits to hospital following acts of self-harm fell temporarily during certain events such as Christmas and Easter holidays. However no association was found between the frequency of acts of self-harm and the menstrual cycle or Valentine's Day. http://www.irishhealth.com
